Thanks to my friend Velezaurus I discovered a website that collects pictures of the most valuable items a person owns. This under the motto “If your house was burning, what would you take with you?” According to the Burning House this exercise is a “conflict between what's practical, valuable and sentimental. What you would take reflects your interests, background and priorities. Think of it as an interview condensed into one question.”
Well I took it literally. I stopped thinking about it. Then, in the middle of a movie a spark bursted out-of-nowhere in my brain and reminded me of that exercise. In that moment I imagined that my house was burning, so I took—in less than a minute—what I wanted to keep. Here’s the list.
Name: Luis López
Age: 27
Location: Zürich, Switzerland
Occupation: Environmental Engineer
Website: www.luisferldeo.blogspot.com
Passport (Burned house and no ID?)
Documents (includes postcards and letters from friends and mother)
Phone + Contacts (the latter is by far more important)
Computer + Information within (age of information)
Hard disk with the backups of pervious item
Ipod
Book (it’s signed by the author and has personal memories attached)
Watch (gift from my father, again it's the memories it carries)
Wallet
Swiss army keychain and keys
Camera (not pictured, I needed it to take the photo. Takes crappy pics but has gone with me to so many places).
I must say: I’m satisfied with the result. It shows that if needed I could collect my dearest personal belongings, put them in a backpack and—let’s say—migrate yet another time.
The burning house is a really interesting project and you can check all entries on www.theburninghouse.com hopefully they’ll post mine soon.

Muy interesante Luis!
yo también ya me puse a pensar y ahora mi duda es como podría sacar a 7 gatos asustados de mi casa si se incendiara!
Me voy a piratear tu post para mi blog.
saludos!
¡¡¡7 gatos!!!
